Employment and Training - People With Potential
A goal to aim for, a chance to learn and a sense of achievement all give our lives challenge and depth. These things are vital for a healthy mind and self esteem.
What is People With Potential?
An integrated employability service providing pathways for progression from being unemployable to being settled in a working lifestyle and progressing in secure employment.
Access to employment, training and educational opportunities is an essential component in tackling homelessness. Cyrenians has developed a range of opportunities including social activity, volunteering, education and training to support people to move into paid employment.
"I have learnt that I am worth something and that I deserve to achieve my goals"
We have two aspects to out support, People with Potential for Development and People with Potential for Jobs. The development stage looks at confidence, motivation and other early barriers to employment. Through PwP for Jobs we offer job tasters, career guidance, CV and interview advice. In each, recognising that people learn in different ways, and so use a mix of one-to-one support and group work.
Taste For Learning and Outside-In are two projects we are excited to be involved with. Working in conjunction with local colleges these projects are designed to make college more accessible whilst offering training and qualifications to our clients.
All programmes offer practical and emotional support over the tricky transition to a learning or working lifestyle.
