This is a 6 month project ending on 31st March 2011

Following a successful pilot project at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital - where unused NHS land has been developed into a community garden through engagement with the local residents, businesses and community groups - the Central Scotland Green Network Development Fund is investing in Cyrenians to:

  • consolidate the operational model established at Royal Edinburgh Community Gardens
  • prepare materials for sharing what we’ve done and learned with other groups around Scotland
  • undertake feasibility studies for other sites on NHS Lothian land to develop more Community Gardens with health, social and environmental outcomes.

A self-starting and well organised person is required to work alongside our groundwork experts to implement our strategic action plan and deliver results. Strong project management skills, rather than specific experience or technical knowledge, are essential to ensure your success.
