WORKING WITH BUSINESSES

Working with us can benefit your company - raising your profile, and promoting your own social responsibility strategy by demonstrating a commitment to those people on the margins of society, helping us provide them with opportunities to improve their housing, employability, health and well-being and, in the process, helping to create a more compassionate and inclusive community.

Cyrenians work towards a sustainable future for all: learning to better protect our planet and achieve fair and harmonious communities in which there are opportunities for all to thrive.

Successful commercial businesses are at the heart of a strong, healthy community, generating wealth and providing employment. Enlightened and successful businesses share our vision, knowing that we all win from having healthy, employable and thriving communities. With the same vision and goals there is a lot to be gained by charity and business teaming up and Cyrenians has lots of experience and lots of ideas about how this is put into practice.

Winners of the Sieff Award for innovative partnerships with business and recommended by independent charity advisors New Philanthropy Capital, Edinburgh Cyrenians have a strong reputation and a truly amazing track record in working with the business sector to achieve our common aims. The charity is itself entrepreneurial, continuously improving, risk-taking and committed to achieving results that matter.

Since 1995 we have established and developed on-going relationships with businesses of every sort across the whole spectrum of activity but also provide some great opportunities for one-stop activity, such as Team Challenges at Cyrenians Farm and the Community Gardens, study tours to increase awareness and understanding, volunteering opportunities and support with fundraising.

Our success is working with business is based on openness, honesty and respect for businesses. We understand that businesses are businesses, not charities, and we respect your need to achieve your bottom line. We don't offer or take on what we can't deliver well, with a strong win-win-win for charity, business and employees.

The best starting point is a conversation about what your business wants to achieve from its community engagement. Our Working with Business Prospective contains a long menu of possibilities, but we are flexible and creative in our approach and many good new ideas have come from putting our business and charity brains together!
