Royal Edinburgh Community gardens have now been running for just over a year.
Located within the beautiful 15 acre grounds at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital in Morningside, the gardens offer fantastic opportunities to grow your own food, to build community and to keep active.
The Community Garden is an NHS Lothian initiative with a mission to make opportunities for good food and healthy lifestyles available to the local communities in which the NHS hospitals are based.
The gardens promote mental health and well-being, healthy eating, biodiversity, environmental education, and social inclusion. Everyone is welcome to participate and the gardens embody a holistic approach to land use and health.
Local community groups, individuals, third party health organisations, patients and staff at the Royal Edinburgh hospital are all welcome to join in the activities at the gardens. You don't have to be an expert, just enthusiastic and interested.
The current schedule, including events and workshops, is available on the community gardens website.
