Cyrenians Private Housing Service has over 15 years experience of working with the private rented sector across central Scotland. We use private rented accommodation to help people find lasting housing solutions.
We understand the increasing pressures to find affordable housing and work with private landlords to source good quality properties that mean tenants have long term housing and are diverted from homelessness services.

How do we do it….

We help people to identify the right property for them, taking into consideration choice of area, size and type of accommodation to meet their needs. We ensure the property will be affordable and the customer is able to live in comfort.

We recognise that private renting carries risks for landlords and agents and aim to minimise these. We ensure the tenancy is set up correctly and the landlord/agent is aware of their rights and responsibilities and is managing their property within the required frameworks. We have good links with other agencies, including Landlord Accreditation Scotland and support landlords and agents to meet the National Core Standards for private renting.
